Who’s Holiday – Southwark Playhouse

“Who’s Holiday” is a must-see show, starring Miz Cracker; talented performer and star of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”.

Have you ever wondered what happened to Cindy Lou Who after the Grinch stole Christmas? Directed by Kirk Jameson and produced by Tuckshop and Jack Maple Productions, this 60-minute solo show gives a fun adult spin on the Dr Seuss classic.

It tells the inspiring story of Cindy Lou Who as she navigates increasingly challenging circumstances with humour and resilience in the aftermath of the Grinch’s mischievous acts.

I was transported into the whimsical world of rhyme that is characteristic of Dr Seuss’s writing. Miz Cracker does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life, using exaggerated gestures and vocal inflections to really play all the roles well.

The play is interactive, with Miz Cracker often engaging with audience members and encouraging them to participate in the action or even a drink. The use of rhyme and playful wordplay helps to keep the audience engaged throughout the performance.

The adult humour adds a bold and irreverent element to the storytelling, making for a unique and entertaining experience.

On the thrust stage, the stunning set features a caravan surrounded by fairy lights, snow and pastel colours where you’re drawn into the home of Cindy Lou Who as you watch the star overcome obstacles with determination and a positive attitude. Join in the fun and be entertained by this heart-warming and hilarious production, running six nights a week at Southwark Playhouse.

Overall, I had a great time at the play and would highly recommend it to fans of Miz Cracker, Dr Seuss or anyone looking for a fun and imaginative theatre experience that isn’t afraid to push the boundaries. The clever use of rhyme and the engaging performance of Miz Cracker made for a truly memorable night of entertainment.
